Wool combs are handheld tools used to prepare wool fibers for spinning by arranging them in parallel and removing unwanted fibers. Combs are used to prepare fleece for spinning by removing short fibers, vegetable matter, and tangles. These wool combs were hand crafted by Sue and Lindsey. They are sturdy, effective, and come with a mechanism to protect the tines while being stored, a wonderful benefit! (PSA: Be sure to have your tetanus vaccination up-to-date when using sharp tools.) |

This yarnbowl is large enough for most yarns and yet the ball or cake will stay in the bowl because of the curved designed into the sides. The "J-hole" through which the yarn is pulled is large and smooth. The inside glaze is smooth so that delicate yarns (even mohair) will not snag and catch as the yarn move around the bowl. Even down to the details of placing cork "bumpers" on the bottom of the bowl to protect furniture. On top of all that, there was an expressed mandate to have a good looking yarnbowl. Mission accomplished. Our yarnbowls come in raku, nekked raku, horsehair and feather carbon painted, some with mica and in our stoneware line called "Hobnob." All of the bowls are one-of-a-kind. |

Segments reflecting the petals are featured with eyelets creating texture, plus optional embroidery stitching to add that extra flourish. Shawl pattern includes a video tutorial with techniques and styling tips. Watch the tutorial here. DIMENSIONS |

This beautiful 1 1/2 pounds of washed fleece is ready to be carded, combed or dyed. The crimp structure is lovely and a sample lock is almost 7" long. It pings when tested and there are no apparent weak spots. The sheep's breed is unknown, but spinner that selected this fleece knew how to pick 'em! |

Our looms are designed with a friction brake for excellent tension control and an adjustable beater to accommodate reeds of different heights and widths. They can be folded and tucked away to entertain company or minimize studio space. The Model A8 weaves a full 22 inches and comes with 8 harnesses and 10 treadles.
